Double Bass Day

One-day workshop for female and non-binary double bass players aged 8-25 years old which will include ensemble playing, learning new techniques on the bass, a panel discussion for the senior group and a short sharing performance at the end. Register through the RCM by clicking the 'RSVP' button.

Josie Ellis

Josie joined the BBC Symphony Orchestra in 2019 and she continues to freelance with many of the UK's finest orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the Philharmonia and English National Opera.
She has worked with conductors such as Sir Simon Rattle, Gustavo Dudamel, Bernard Haitink and Pierre Boulez.
Josie was a prize-winner at the Royal Academy of Music and graduated with First Class Honours. She continued her studies in Switzerland and then, supported by a scholarship from the Leverhulme Trust, studied in Germany with Božo Paradžik.
