Roundtable Discussion
We hosted a roundtable discussion at Wigmore Hall where we presented current data on the gender divide in UK orchestras and conservatoires, discussed the nuanced issues women face in this sphere, and talked about what more can be done moving forward.

GALSI COURSE 2023!
Our second annual course was even bigger and better! With nearly forty participants, an amazing tutor team, and the RCM Sparks team, we had a joyful two days with lots of music making, creativity, meeting new friends, and good discussions about working in the industry. The concert featured all the groups, soloists, and finally everyone playing together to the song PINK from the Barbie Movie, arranged by Rebecca. Check out the video here

GALSI x Colectiva in the Elgar Room
at the Royal Albert Hall
The wonderful team behind the Royal Albert Hall's Late Night Jazz series asked us to curate an evening celebrating gender inclusivity in jazz and we invited the formidable, all-female Latin/Jazz band Colectiva who absolutely tore it up and answered our and audience questions with such thoughtfulness and candor.

GALSI COURSE 2022!
We held our first annual course - a two-day workshop for female and non-binary brass and percussion players aged 8-25. With nearly thirty participants and our fabulous Associate Artists, it was a vibrant and energetic couple of days with an impressive and memorable final performance for friends and family.
